Andrea Lavista found her passion for dance soon after she started dancing at the age of 4. She was trained under the direction of Jillian Torgas-Leyva at Roxy Performing Arts Center located in Miami, FL. Andrea is skilled in many different styles of dance such as jazz, tap, contemporary, acrobatics, and hip hop. In High school, she was on the competitive dance team at school and at her studio and served as captain in her school team for two years.
She is currently perusing a bachelor’s degree in Communication sciences and disorders at the University of Florida and is a member of UF’s Danza Company Co. Andrea is honored and proud to work with such amazing students at Independence Studio and cannot wait to teach and inspire through her passion for dance.
